Citizen loses his life protecting others!

Be careful if you get involved in something like this everyone. I can't fault someone for effort just wished it didn't turn out like it did.

Murfreesboro Police continued looking for two suspects who killed a man during a robbery.

Police said one of the robbers shot a man who was trying to protect two female employees.

Police said the men held up the market at about 4:30 Sunday afternoon.

They demanded phone cards and money from two female employees.

Police said the shooting happened when one of the employees refused to give up her jewelry.

That's when one robber told the other to shoot her.

Police said 32-year-old Guillermo Acosta tried to intervene and was shot.

“This gentleman was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And he did put forth an effort to try to intervene on behalf of the employees there, so yes, you could call him a hero,” Alvin Baird with the Murfreesboro Police Department said.

Police said Acosta was shot once in the head.

He died at the scene.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males wearing black-hooded sweatshirts and sunglasses.

Police said they have no suspects at this time.

So sad that this guy died for jewelry. Hate to say it, but if she chose not to give up her jewelry, I wouldn't have stepped in to save her. She caused that to happen.

I have to agree with this. How stupid can you be?

Props to the guy for having balls, but I wouldn't have tried to stop that. I would have been screaming at the dumb bitch to cough up her jewelry. I hope she feels like shit everyday knowing she could have saved him by simply giving up replaceable possessions.

That sucks. I would have done the exact same thing that guy did. I don't care if it was jewelry, she was about to die. Not gonna happen as long as i'm in the room.

I don't get people..... why would you kill someone just to get a little money? It makes me sad.....

Same kind of thing happened to a guy that I went to High School with. He was a couple of years behind me. Anyway he came out of his apartment and in the parking lot a guy was beating up his GF. High school guy went to stop him and dude stabbed him and killed him. Sad, such sad news what is wrong with people these days?

Just remember their will always be a select few and not just cops that run towards the sound of shots while others run away.

When I was in the academy we watched a serious called "Bullet Proof Mind" by Lt Col Dave Grossman. He was lecturing on the psychological affects of high stress jobs. He put society into 3 categories, people that go about their daily lives without concern, he called them sheep (no offense was intended), the criminals that prey on people (wolves) and the people that are willing to step in when someone is in trouble regardless of circumstances (sheep dogs).

I remember that series. I also remember a quote once that said people bitching about cops not doing their jobs but the you end up passing those when the shit hits the fan and they are running the opposite direction.
