No sound, but have any of you officers on here ever come across anything like that before? Did you get em? I don't think we have any highway patrol on the board but shoot if I was the cop that would of made say "Holy Sh..." http://videos.streetfire.net/hottest...7B762D0392.htm
That is just crazyyyyyy, it pulled out and rear end squated and it was gone.. I know its in Kilometers but the cop was doing atleast 130mph.
I chased an Olds Cutlass one night on some of the curviest backroads in the county one night at 100+mph. The kid drove pretty good for only being 15.
Another night chased a Chevy Blazer that was involved in a felony pursuit through the center of my little town at 80-90 mph. One I got him stopped he was DUI on alcohol and drugs, had beaten a woman and stole her Blazer from another city.
Might not get too many stories due the limits set on pursuits these days.

damn thats crazy - I kept cringing when one of those little side streets passed, just thinking about what would have happened if a car had tried pulling out not having seen the oncoming insanity.

I"m glad we don't have a pursuit policy. I've been in some great chases, my very first one went well over 120+ mph and had my FTO setting next to me. After it was done he had to get out of the car for awhile. I can't blame him I couldn't drive for alittle bit either.
The thing here is were all mountains, we rarely see long striaght paths, most of our chases are on two lane curvy mountain roads, which I guess is why we can drive better then the "flatlanders" according to the Highway Patrol

I agree with ya! At some of the driving schools I have attended officers from areas that are pretty twisty had very few problems when it came to the pursuit phase of the schools.

Same here, it tends to mess with people when they have to chase on a curvy mountain road if they are not used to it. Curves around here are sometimes layed out the way they are suppose to be (banked going up/out) and others are not, if your not careful you'll slingshot yourself right off the moutain
I have been in a few interesting pursuits, both with cars and bikes, although the bike chases never last very long, as they either crash in a fiery mess, or get away pretty quickly.
None of the cars / trucks I have pursued were anything special, most of the time it's just an everyday grocery getter. I did chase a 68 Plymouth Valiant for a few miles after some shots were fired at a party, and let me tell you, that thing was slow as hell, but they don't build them like that anymore. We hit a bridge north of town with a bump / ledge that needs to be taken at 45mph or less to prevent leaving the ground, and this dumbass hit it around 80mph.
He left the ground for 68 feet, judging by the gouges in the concrete, and just kept on truckin when he landed. Sparks, metal, chaos.....he just kept on running. My police Impala wasn't as lucky, even though I slowed to about 60mph, I still chewed the shit out the undercarriage and broke 3 motor mounts.
I hate pursuits....that kind of an adrenaline dump makes high-speed driving very difficult, even with all of my silly combat-breathing exercises. The danger and liability is sky high, and usually for very little payoff. We have a pretty liberal chase policy, but I usually call most of them that don't involve violent or serious crime.
