Not a special car but the "Focus" or the "Point" is how big of a mismatch against the pursuit vehicle being used. Its not lambo unleashing but no denying that it could haul ass when that pedal went to the floor.
Nothing special? You are looking at the same video? That thing pulled like hell..... nothing special....
lol at your pursuit litertwin with the beater...
During your driving schools do they emphasize things such as remember to be realistic about your corner speeds in a chase as you get overconfident?
I'd have to have the mind set to remeber your not just chasing the guy, your really driving to the limit of your abilities of you and your car, not beyond that in an effort to catch up.
Believe me bro........there are half a million things going through your mind at that point and you are doing a lot of things at an accelerated rate. giving vehicle and suspect info over the radio, direction of travel, road conditions, traffic conditions, operating the lights and sirens, constantly on the radio with updates, arguing for rights to the airwaves when another officer wants to break zone limits, trying to determine a flight pattern to try and get a set of spikes in front of them, then you finally get to drive the car. What they teach is how to drive the car at their limits and your's and get the job done as safely as possible. Most driving schools are 5 days long, including the instructor's course. During those days you some hours in the classroom, the rest of the time you are running courses and learning new techniques.
In an officer in a pursuit is about as busy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Sorry I will clarify my question. I think that the Plymouth being chased by LiterTwin would make a great video. An old friend of mine jumped a buick station wagon about ten feet and the video was worth the price of admission. So my question was directed to LiterTwin's chase, sorry for any confusion.

Our chase policy simplified is Felonies over state lines and misdemeanors any where in the state.
Here is the brief narrative that gets sent out over email after a chase.
On Saturday March 4, 2006 at approximately 0128 hours, I heard a call go out over the PG County scanner for shots fired at Cuzcos. Communications issued a general lookout for a Green Honda with MD tags 8ADA48 that Prince George’s County Police was pursing on 23rd and University BLVD for shots fired at a civilian. I was at Tulane Drive and University BLVD when I observed one marked PG County cruiser in pursuit of a vehicle and traveling East bound on 193 towards my position. I conducted a U-turn to assist county in the pursuit. The Vehicle traveled East Bound 193 past Stadium Dr, Terp trail, and Paint branch Dr. Something was tossed from the vehicle at East Bound 193 and Terp trail. The vehicle continued East bound 193 past US Rt 1 spur and under the underpass, just past the Rt 1 underpass the green Honda lost control and ended up facing West Bound on 193 in the East bound lanes. The green Honda then proceeded to travel West bound in the East bound lanes and got past the primary PG County vehicle and my vehicle that was in the secondary position. By the time I got my vehicle turned around the Honda was still traveling in West bound in the East bound lanes. The Honda then got into the West bound lanes of 193 at Paint Branch Golf Course. Dispatch informed all units that PG County recovered a loaded gun at 193 just beyond Terp Trail. The Honda took US 50 and lost control and wrecked at Georgia Ave. Three males exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene on foot. All three were taken into custody.
