Cleveland had just recently installed redlight and speeding cameras at a few intersections and has admitted that the main reason was to make money. You would think their motivation would have been to make the roadways safer . Anyways, how well do you think they would nab a motorcycle? Do they take a pic of the front license plate? Should you remove your license plate to prevent an errant ticket if you were close to the vehicle that made the infraction?

The act of riding is a form of meditation, because the concentration that's required to safely ride a motorcycle tends to focus the mind in a way that eliminates other mental distractions that might interfere with the mission. This creates a single-mindedness that, in effect, displaces the continuous stream of thoughts that normally flow through our consciousness.

we have had these for a few years here. Everyone thought they were bad at first, but no one complains about them anymore. They're mainly used to catch people who run red lights, (at least here). If your close enough to another person who's running a red light, your probally running a red light too. Don't sweat it

The way I understand it (in Washington State) is that they must have a good detail shot of the driver's face. I got a photo radar ticket in my car 5 years ago and they send you a picture of you, in your car, with a blown-up inset of your face.
So, I just wear a balaclava when I drive.
I would assume that a motorcycle would not get a ticket, as a closed-face helmet leaves the rider unidentifiable. Plus, I think the photo-radar speed cameras take the picture from the front. I believe red-light cameras take shots of the front and back.
Remove your license plate at your peril!

We haven't had a front plate on our cars for the longest time... hate the looks of it especially on my wife's cobra...

Well i dont think your right. Whether or not they get a pic of your face you get the ticket. BUT you dont lose points since they cant tell who was driving, just the fine.
And here the pic is taken not from the front but the rear because some provinces dont require fron t plates.
If you think the intersection cameras suck then don't come to AZ....they've now got 'em ON THE FREEWAY.....go over 75 (10 over) on the 101 and they snap a photo and send you the ticket.
Most of the intersection ones around here are for redlight runners but there are a few that are for speeders. Not sure how'd they catch some of the bikes around here because I see people with their plates mounted all crazy up under the tail, some on the bottom of the tail almost horizontal...good luck getting a pic of that.

Here they have blue bulbs above the lights and when the light is red the blue bulb comes on so Coppers can see from a distance if anyone runs them. I've seen quite a few get pulled over - congrats to the coppers, I fuckin hate impatient red light runners!
