Default can a cop?

OK, heres the scenario,

Im driving on the highway, going on the 2 right lanes and the cop is going on the 2 left lanes.

Hes going opposite direction from me, and we are both moving. Can he radar me? I was almost certain that you cannot.

My friends have been busted twice with a cop going in the opposite direction. Its just a simple calculation with your speed and the cop car speed.

I know for a fact you can cause I've ridden with Officer737 and saw him use the radar on a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

"Moving radar uses two beams. One to determine the officer’s car speed and the other to determine the relative speed at which your car is approaching the officer’s car. It then subtracts the relative speed from his speed to determine your speed....."

I got radared by a trooper on the oppsite side of the highway, while we were both in motion, and I was in a cluster of vehicles...Now what are the odds that he got an accurate reading? Pretty bad cause he tried to cite me for 20 over yet my cruise was set at 5 over. He dropped it to 10 over(whoo hoo, saved me 12 bucks), but the point is cops can do whatever the hell they want, especially in traffic situations.

Aint that the truth........

truth be told, its hard to pinpoint a bike as it is, but the fact of it really is this.........he swore an oath, his word is gold compared to yours.

I dont necessarily hate cops but I sure hate the ones that have nothing better to do than to be on a vendetta.

Good luck man,

Oh and yeah the radar does work like that, I forget what band it is but it works

I never got pulled over by a cop that was traveling the opposite direction but I have had several instances of troopers shining their big f'in spot lights on my while the passed by, (telling me to slow down?)..

Its only hard to hit a bike if the biks has no headlight or has it covered with a solid material.... the headlight is a great radar reflector. Works very well too! With cars it's even easier to get a reflected signal.

Yes can be hit with radar that way. Newer radar systems can clock opposite and same direction, stationary and moving. We can pretty radar any moving vehicle ragardless of our vehicle's movement. My dept. uses the MPH radar system and it capable of all the above as well as some of Kustom Trooper models. The Kustom Stalker Lidar system can do all the above except it has to be stationary.
