Default k1200s track day ?

I am going to take my k1200s to the track for a class and first track day I have mixed feeling about bringing the bmw due cost of bike engine displacement for novice track rider. the novice class suggest bringing the bike you ride most frequently as this is not a race class but a introduction to track riding and advanced street riding any opinions would be appreciated thank you

Please repeat in English. "due cost of bike engine displacement for novice track rider" is gibberish. No idea what you're trying to say.

If you dont feel comfortable taking the bike out then dont. You should be fine though, my friends dad has a K1200S that he has modded the shit out of. It's now known as the Bat Bike. He takes it to the track every now and then.

Not really, but I'll take a stab at it. If you're questioning whether a K12S is suitable for a beginner's first track day...

Well, it's probably not optimal, because it's powerful and expensive; but they certainly handle well and are more stable than the pure SS bikes, and you probably have ABS. I've taken my K1200RS to track days before. If you ride within the bike, as you should if it's your first track day, you should be fine.

If your question is whether the bike is up to it mechanically - certainly it is. A K12S held the record for a production bike on the Nurburgring when they were introduced; don't know if it still does.
