I just traded my'05 Kawasaki ZX-10R on a BMW K1200R. I love this bike and I regret not doing it sooner. I thought I was getting on a "gentlemans bike" when I took it for a test ride, but when I was standing it up in a second gear wheelie I realized that it was more of a hell raiser than my ZX-10R was.
Well, somebody backed into the parking space it was in while I was on lunch. I've had one ZX-6R and two ZX-10R's that had never touched the ground and with this bike, it was smashed in two days. The bike was pushed sideways and tipped over onto a curb by the new Tahoe which had park sensors on the rear and a camera. He said they didn't warn him. Estimate from dealer is $4,604.20. Luckily the guy's came in and dealt with the insurance thing. Once it is fixed, I'll post pics.

Hell of a nice guy if he came right in and gave you the insurance info, no reason to be mad at all.
Congrats on the K1200R. If I were shopping for a hot naked bike, the K1200R would be on the very short list. Cool looks, great engine (I have a K1200S), top shelf BMW thoughtful touches.
Thanks, guys. Yeah, I'm grateful that he came in to tell me about it. His insurance company is taking forever though to give the okay to the dealer for repair. I know it will get fixed right, but it is 76 degrees and sunny right now, and I am stuck in my cage. Once I get it back, I will post some pics. I have a carbon two-brothers exhaust coming for it.
Such a nice bike, shame it was backed over. I sat on one at the Calgary international motorcycle show. I was extremely suprised by how comfortable that bike is.
I finally got it out of the shop a month later! I added some goodies to it right after I got it back. I added a 6.0" rear rime to replace the 5.5" and put a 190/50/17 Pirelli Diablo Corsa III rear and a matching front tire, Clear alternatives LED rear light, turn signals and Two-Brothers slip-on. It sounds and runs awesome. I also cut off the mud-flap and shaped it to one of the original creases so it looks factory. I mounted the plate deep in front of the tire. I haven't had a chance to take it to the curvy roads yet (the whole job thing is cramping my style), but I will this weekend. Here are a couple pics at night, since I work over daylight hours. I am stoked to have it back! Thanks for the interest.
