New BMW middle weight Sporter?
Check out this little gem.
This new BMW has got a new parallel twin engine tuned for sports riding and handling. BMW has re-invented Yamaha's TRX basically and put ABS brakes on it. The engine is a Rotax affair. The Austrian engine builder also builds engines for Aprilia. The threesome of BMW, Aprilia and Rotax are also business partners. The claimed figures are: 80bhp, 190kg and belt final drive. The bike will be launched in Milan in just over a month. - Raptorandrockets

Even being the naked fan that I am, I have to admitt that would look WAY better if it was fully faired. Aint nothing worth looking at down below.

I really dig the F800S and F800ST. The ST version basically has a bunch more fairing, and that's about it. Being an 800, maybe BMW will have something relatively affordable other than that wheezy 650 single...
I'm a big fan of BMWs as real-world motorcycles, and really would prefer them over any of the "real" supersport competition. The big problem is money... dang, they're pricey.

not into naked, unless it is a Motard. that new Duc (I think it is a 850) is pretty cool.

F800ST
The F800ST is the touring-oriented sibling of the sportier F800S whose debut we already reported. To verify its touring credentials, the F800ST brandishes a full fairing, bigger windscreen and standard aluminum luggage rack. The ST's ergonomics are designed to better suit long-distance travel, with higher handlebars providing a comfortable position for the rider.
Aside from the touring modifications that earn it that extra T, the two F800S models are the same. At the heart of each bike beats the newly designed 800cc Twin which represents the first ever inline two-cylinder engine for the German manufacturer and was co-developed with Bombardier-Rotax. Forgoing the BMW-characteristic shaft-drive, the Twin will transfer its claimed 80 bhp to the rear wheel by way of a lighter and quieter belt-drive. A 6-speed transmission delivers the power generated by the engine's 12:1 compression ratio. BMW promises high fuel efficiency, and a closed-loop three-way catalytic converter ensures low-emissions in accordance with strict Euro 3 standards.
BMW claims a dry weight of 419 lbs for the ST, with a road-ready weight right around the 462-lb mark. Beyond its promised touring ergonomics, the ST will also deliver the usual handling and suspension quality which BMW aficionados have come to expect. On top of everything, the ST promises all the safety features and cutting-edge digital engine electronics that make a BMW a BMW. The ST also offers optional ABS.

The F650CS and GS both are under $8000 now. $7500 and $7800, if I remember right. Check the BMW USA website, seems like they've dropped the price quite a lot. My guess is in preparation for the new F bikes.
And why would one need a center stand? Seems like just extra weight and lowered ground clearance. There's no chain on these bikes to maintain, remember. Thus, most of a center stand's usefulness dissolves...
