Most recently, I had new Pirelli Sport Demon tires installed front and rear and had a tender charge installed on the battery to prevent battery from dying when bike is stored.

Great, classic looking, mid-size motorcycle. You'll be amazed at how many compliments you'll get with this bike.

Similar to this $4,500 bike (which is more expensive because of fewer miles): Red Label Moto

NO SHIPPING (because of past experience with damaged shipments by UPS and Greyhound). I will deliver this bike as far as San Francisco or meet at a convenient halfway point ... perhaps a little further but only if buyer pays my round trip delivery expenses.

First, I'm not good at inflating a price to offset any haggling so I set a reasonable price that this bike is worth; if you don't like the price please don't waste my time and yours. You can finder cheaper bikes out there but they will likely cost you more in the long run. I've spent a lot of money and time on this bike so it is ready for the road - it needs absolutely nothing.

I bought this bike two years ago and accomplished everything I wanted to do with it (rode to Big Sur, to MotoGP events at Laguna Seca and downtown Monterey, Hwy 9 to Los Gatos, Hwy 25 to San Juan Bautista, and even did parade laps through Laguna Seca's corkscrew with a police escort during Cherry's Jubilee) so now I'll try to sell it so someone else can enjoy it.

This bike has always been locally owned. The one previous owner (Robert Stearns of Seaside) owned it from new until 2006 when he traded it in at Salinas Motorcycle Center (SMC) where I bought it. SMC has always maintained it since day one. When I bought it, I also purchased a 1-year "Platinum Priority Maintenance Plan". From Dec 07 to Dec 08, the dealer encouraged me to have the bike frequently maintained at almost no additional cost to me so it has been meticulously maintained through 7x services totaling a cost of a whopping $2,445 (of which I only had to pay a couple hundred dollars). Bottom line it that this bike is in great shape, should cost very little to maintain compared to other comparably priced used bikes because of all of the recent work and I wouldn't hesitate to get on it and drive it across the country.

This 83 GS750ES is the slightly little brother to the GS1100E and it is comparable to the Honda VFR700/VFR750, Kawasaki GPz750, Yamaha XJ750 and FZ750. Don't let it's age fool you, this bike is very fast. Check out the scanned magazine article, it can pull a 11 second quarter mile! Don't worry...I haven't abused it. I enjoy spirited driving but I'm scared to really push it (no knee dragging or top speed runs). Actually what I really liked about this bike was its seat position/stance. I don't like the hunched over riding position of modern sportbikes but this bike sits more upright, much more like the sitting position of a modern touring bike. You may wonder about the yellow headlight. I bought thick amber film ($50 kit) and covered the headlight in order to appear more eye-catching to other motorists on the road (for safety's sake; but the film would be easy to remove if you don't like it).

I'll also include a pdf electronic file of a 279 page service manual that I bought online and an original 1983 Cycle World magazine with an article/road test of it.

Price is $2,200 REDUCED to $1,800 (GREAT DEAL). If no one is interested thru this weekend, then I'll try eBay.

Thank you, Dave

And me with no cash for a second bike, dagnabbit! When I bought my first GS550E (an '84), the 700 was what I really wanted... That's a very nicely kept GS.
