Yeah... I worked for a Suzuki Dealership. Sold the 07 Gixxer 750 to a kid. Second day he dropped it on the left side. Third day he dropped it on the right side. Nothing serious... just plastic rash. Two weeks later calls me and begs me to use my truck and get the bike from Police Impound. Says the clutch is fried at 1400 miles and he parked it behind a dumpster in North Houston!! What a Tool!! This is Friday late afternoon and he is asking me to drive my truck & trailer across HOUSTON Rush Hour!
After some more begging....
I agree.
I get to the impound, he is a no-show. The lady running the lot says its $246.00 but its now 5:15 and they close at 5:30 til Monday. I call the kid, ask him where he is and I am now informed he is running late cause he needs a ride. I pay the $246 cause by Monday it goes up another $150... I am being told I will get paid back. I am directed to where the bike is and see the rear tire is G O N E from doing burnouts. No shocker here why the clutch is toast. I tell him our dealership is not going to warranty the clutch due to abuse. He can pay me the $246 plus the cash to clean and replace the clutch. This is January...
February goes by...
March too...
April I send notices to the registered owner (AKA The Kid) and HSBC.
June I pay $83.20 for the taxes on the money spent to repair the bike and storage. I have a clean new Texas Title for a 2007 GSXR 750
Bonus... the finance guys dinged him for an extended warranty that I will not use, so they are sending me a check for $1200 cause I am cashing it in!
NOICE!!!
Lucky! I guess ur kindness (if you wanna call it that) paid off with a free track bike.
