Default falco wont start after dying, wtf?

i am not very mechanically inclined, but slowly learning.

i did my oil change a few days ago, and noticed after a few rides that oil was dripping from somewhere. very minute amount, after the bike sits after a ride. i went out this morning to see if i can find the leak. i cleaned up the bottom where it has been dripping from, just to see if i can trace the leak back to its origin. i figured the only places it can be leaking were from the drain nut or the oil filter seal. after the cleanup i started the bike. bike ran (with a bit of choke) until the temp guage read about 45C. i cut the choke and the bike died. no suprise there, my falco hates running cold and most of the time refuses to. after ot died though i heard this faint tick, almost from the rear shock area, ticking and gradually slowing down, until it faded away. i thought exhaust cooling, but i only had the engine running for maybe a minute. when i went to start it again, it didnt turn. i heard the injectors zizzing, but no turn, no ignition. my EFI started blinking on the console. i tried shutting it off, and still nothing but the injectors. im very confused, i have neer had any problem starting the bike, even when sitting unused for over a month.

any thoughts are appreciated....

your battery might be dead, that ticking noise you heard from the rear shock area may be the fuel injectors not having enough juice to get in there possision. Try charging the battery, if that doesnt work jump start your bike, take it for a ride, turn it off then try and restart it, and if it doesnt turn over its your battery, but yea it sounds like your battery is dead.
