I am using Golden Spectro semi -synthetic until about 2000-2500 miles, then I'll go to full synth. I only have 1500 miles on her now.

I hope you dont think oil is oil. There is a reason they make synthetic and non synthetic. There are also reasons that there are different weights of oil. And yes buying proven race oil does make me feel better, especially in my italian bike....and I also do the same in my Jap bike. When your race bike is at high revs all its life it does pay to put proven race oil in the bike. And yea putting "whatever is on sale" is squidish. Spending money on the expensive proven race oil is preventive maintence, and smart. I just looked in your profile, you dont have a bike yet? You keep putting your on sale oil in your imaginary bike.

Nope. I use the leftovers in my snowblower and lawn mower too, always comes out looking so clean.
No issues at all with it that I can think of. Works great, nice and smooth, clutch is fine...

you've read my profile, try reading your owners manual and you may find that ip extra raid 4,sae 15w-50 partially synthetic or agrip tec 4t, sae 15w-50 is what is recomended or any high quality oils with characteristics with or superoir to the ccmc g-4, a.p.i. sg. specifications but any oil that meets these mins is good. im sure you know whats better for your bike than the manufacturer does. keep blowing your money and i will still buy whats on sale. you put 93 octaine in your bike too i bet.

Yep, I use 93 octaine....just like the manufacturer states in the manual...but I guess you didnt read that part, just the part that tried to make you sound smart about oil. Keep buying your on sale oil. Anyway this thread wasnt about what the manual recommends, its about what other people use. So you keep using your on sale oil in your imaginary bike. Here use this its the same color and its cheaper!

no need for you to try and sound smart your beyound that. also if your using the fuel ratings in your manual you are using euro gas ratings, which are not found in the United States. just thought you should know this small bit of infomation.
for future referance use 15/50 oil and 87 octain in your bike. the extra money you spend on high priced fuel and oil does no good for you or your bike.

I wasnt trying to sound smart at all...im just a average joe. I asked everyone what brand, and weight. You keep using your on sale oil and 87 octain fuel, and think about me when your engine starts to knock. good day crankcase.
