Default Tires?

Hey I just bought some Michelin Pilot Powers for my Mille R, I switched to a 180 in the rear for faster turn in, just wondering what everyone else uses, I just came off of Diablo Corsas.....I was very impresed with them...hopefully Michelin does it again for me

I am still on the stock tires after 6500 miles. I am going to ditch them in the spring. Its not that they dont have tread left, but they just have no grip anymore, really hard and slippery, even when warm. They were never inspiring to begin with but now they are just thrashed.

I dont know what I am getting next, Diablos and M1s are up on my list, along with the pilot powers.

Perfect! I am still running the pilot sports , going to replace them with either the Pilot Powers or the DC's.
Please let me know what you think of the Powers comming right from the DC's.
180 is a good move I think , let me know how you like it.Thanks.

i think everyone has a opinion on this so here is mine. on the aprilias the rear rim is a six in. rim therefore i use a 190/50. on a ducati sbk they have 5.5 in rim so i would go with the 180/55 but i can't see useing a 180 on a six inch rim. whatever you use and like thats the one for you.

A 170 on a Mille R, yea it would turn in alot faster, but it would be crazyness, you dont even put a 170 on a GSXR 600 on the track. Your center grip would be nothing. Aprilia suggest for the track you put on a 180 versus a 190, for handeling purposes, I just want a faster turn in on the street also.

Not a problem 999Duc, even in the manual they tell you to put a 180 on the Mille if your going to take it on the track, Im not taking it on the track but I do want the bike to turn in faster then it does now. Dont get it wrong I love how the Mille rides and handles, but I want a faster turn in rate.

i use metzeler roadtec Z06's. coming from a more of a sport touring bridgestone tire, it feels like they have superglue on them. geometry is also alot more aggressive, so the turn in is much quicker. i love them so far. we'll see how they do in the mountains.

I just fit a set of Continental Conti Road Attacks on my priller. I'll report back after about a thousand miles.

I agree on the Metzeler Z6 they are awesome! They grip good in every condition.
