I'd have to agree on the insurance answer. The difference from having a 500 dollar deductible to have a 100 dollar (or 0 dollar, also known as "FULL deductible) is usually anywhere from like 20 to 40 bucks more spread out over a year or 6 months, depending what kind of policy you have and how many vehicles.

On my motorcycle quote that I gave myself the difference from a 500 dollar deductible to a 100 dollar deductible on COMPREHENSIVE(fire, theft, vandalism & glass breakage) is 21 dollars every year. That's a dollar seventy five difference every month. So if you're really worried about getting your bike stolen, just loower your deductible and hope for the best. With a lower deductible you obviously don't have to worry about coming out of pocket a whole lot of money and since it's a comp claim, it doesn't hurt your insurance rates.

I personally would go with the Scorpio alarm system. I had it on my 2nd and 3rd bike. Worked wonders. You can setup the system to a pager and it alerts you when someone gets near it within 3 meters or so, separate alarm within 1 meter, alerts you if its been bumped, if someone's sitting on it, or even if its moving. Easily worth the money you'd pay for it.
