Not too much 599 discussion!
I picked up a used 2004 Honda 599 about a month ago and I totally LOVE it. I've had all kinds of bikes and this is the one I have the most fun with and ride when I get a chance. To bad it's not more popular. Wonder why it never caught on in the USA?

I've put almost 12,000 miles on mine in about a year and a half and still haven't seen another one on the road here in St. Louis (besides a couple 919's). I still can't understand why it's not more popular. I get lots of compliments on it (more than my riding buddies CBR and YZF), and lot's of people saying "I almost bought one of those!," but hardly anyone here in the US has the balls to buy a naked sportbike. Oh well. More props for us.
I've got a few mods that I'm pretty proud of, and I finally have a digital camera now, so I'll have some pictures of mine on here soon.

That's cool! Nice to hear from another 599er. I put a Two Brothers exhaust, K&N air filter and had the Dynojet stage 1 jet kit installed. Great improvement in throttle response and felt power. I also went down one tooth on the front sprocket. I love the way it hauls! Here is a pic. I had it repainted silver grey from yellow!

Heres a couple of the lads with their "Hornet Cup" bikes......
The bike on the left is a CB500 which actually race with the 600 Hornets...

Very nice! Glad you guys are out there! I like those Suburban Machinery handel bars. I want to replace mine, but I don't want to have to lean to far forward. I like the comfortable upright position. Anyone have some ideas?

I bought mine new in April of '04. I have NEVER in 2 years seen another one, and only 2 919's. I love my 599, it is always underestimated by others, and it is huge fun to ride. I kinda quit looking for mods until recently because there never really was much available. I'm finding now that after these two years, there is a lot more out there for our bikes. Doesn't hurt that its for sale in the US again!

The '04 model was a naked F4i...When I bought my F4i...there was a 599 sitting next to it and the dealer told me it was the same bike, except naked
