You should hear the fuel pump priming most times, but not all the time (mine does it maybe 9 out of 10 times); instead, a better test is to put the bike in diag mode and run the fuel pump test, which will force the pump to cycle on and off so you can hear whether it's working or not. I don't remember the code off the top of my head but can probably find it if you need to run the test.

I didnt pay attention to the rpms before shutting it down. I think it sounded pretty normal, so I didn't take note. What should I be looking for here?
Also, I have never put the bike into diag mode... is this something I can do without extra equipment? Or do I need to hook it up to a computer to this?
