It's my first bike and has been absolutely reliable. I've got about 25k on it. Fortunately, I can see beyond marketing spiel and fervent fanaticism. I've been waiting on Hyosung's release of the GT 650X, since I've been a satisfied customer. However, if it doesn't happen soon I'll probably be getting a KTM Duke, KTM SuperDuke, or something in a Moto Guzzi or BMW boxer.
As a Suzuki owner, perhaps you'd care to tell us all how you can ignore Suzuki's history of problems? You know, those little things like frames that snap in half? Then, of course, there's that nasty public perception that all "Gixxer" riders are nothing but a bunch of half-witted squids.
BTW, you may be interested to know that the "common knowledge" about Hyosung is as much uninformed BS as the automatic connection between GSX-R riders and squids...
P.S.: The 1098S is beautiful, but it does nothing for me. I've found that I'm far more interested in something with a bit more day-to-day practicality. But, if I wanted to, I could afford to buy one with cash in hand. If you knew anything about the subject, you'd know that the Ninja 250 was (and still is) the cheap option against the GT 250R you choose to slight.
