Blurr makes a good point. al Queda is a tough nut to crack because of it's lose affiliation. Common warfighting tactics like taking out command and control functions aren't going to work as well. But he mentions and then misses the point of why whacking a dude like Osama is important. Besides being the figure head, he's the money man. And cutting off funds is a critical part of this.

He's A money man, and yes killing him would make an impact (he's probably already dead) on at least the middleast cells. Anything can help.
