You could paint over the chrome w/ Krylon, then when you take the weights off the paint will be removed and your chrome will be safe under all the other paint. It'll make your chrome last longer too. :-) A quality chrome job will not be compromized by adhesive wheel weights as long as a proper preping was made prior to plating. (wow, that was alot of P's!)
