Are you gonna go fast OR do you simply want piece of mind? If yes to either, remove both. WIth high/back rearsets, it's a must. with the stock pegs like you said, maybe not a performance issue on every lap but the "what if" scenario is still there. It's 2 frickin' bolts and a zip tie.

You can put it on the rear-stand yourself and without any kick-stand to help you. Just toss it in place. walk your way back so you're holding the bike by the grab rails and then use one hand to get it in position. once their is upward tension on the swingarm, the bike won't move. you can then just lever it into position and you're done. basically, just try and do it yourself and you'll quickly find that it can be done.

for drilling the basics on our bike you won't need a press. you can drill the oil drain bolt through the corner (nick it) while it's on the bike. you can drill the filler cap and dipstick while on the bike and both are plastic. for the oil filter, all you need is a hose clamp.
