to the OP i know the bike scene seems relatively new to you, but just understand that riding around wearing a bikini top and stiletto's aren't exactly ideal for riding let alone for going to a local bike night. If you are serious about riding then it's best that you get into an MSF course if you haven't already. WEAR FULL GEAR (small scars are cool, but road rash just f*ckin sucks!) and learn to ride properly and safely. It may seem to look all sexy and cool to be this bad ass rider chick but if you don't have the experience and common know how of what riding entails it could really bite you in the end.
At least you didn't start by saying you wanted some 600cc+ sport bike. Looking into the 250 is your best bet, and you will be able to progress a lot faster as long as you take it seriously and know that even the 250 can bite back given the wrong input you give it.
