Ok so you have all read my past post on the morons I call "friends" that ride bikes. Well I finally had a night off and was able to attend the weekly bike night at a local resurant/bar last night. I have been told over and over my ninja 500 will be fine and will be accepted into this group. That lots of the bikes that come are crappy or old so I thought what the hell I'll go... Well I get there and there are zero bikes that are any less than 600 gsxr's and CBR's. Almost all are within 2 years old. GREAT I really stick out in this bunch. Well finally we all jump on our bikes and head out. I was told early on stay in the back some guys are jerks and very dangerous to ride with so there I was in the next to last slot in a group of 50 or more bikes...

We get going and all is well till we hit interstate where I look up and I am almost completly alone except seeing the last 3 bikes I was close to leaving me in the dust and I was well over interstate speed.. 85-95mph!!! WTF?? Yes they are well experience riders.. YES they have better bikes.. YES they are used to taking the big curves at 145 and up.. But DAMN IT I personally knew one bike and he swore he would hang back with me because I was not prepared to ride that fast yet and who cared we all knew where we were going and we would just meet them all there.

Well that shit hit the fan in the first quarter mile. I refuse to operate my bike, ( No matter how cool or shitty it looks) in a manner I feel I cannot handle or in a way that I feel would put others in danger. Here I go pulling into the meeting point 5 minutes or more behind the pack like an ass who isnt on a liter bike or has "balls" enough to hang with the big boyz.. Well you know what they can bite me because Im not ready or skilled enough to ride like that yet. Everyone has to start somewhere and I have started the right way I think. Anyways just wanted to blow off some steam and tell yall how my first " Group Ride/ Bike Night" went.
