I went to the local State Farm branch today to get it insured, and when they put in my information, it pulled up my WIFE's accident from last year where she totalled her stupid Toyota Echo. They said because of that, they won't insure ME on a god damn MOTORCYCLE?!?! What the hell does a car have to do with a motorcycle, and me have to do with my wife? She's not riding the god damn thing, *I* am riding it. I'm so god damn infuriated right now it's not even funny. They said come back in 2010 and they can insure me (Must be clean for 3 years).
Any way around this? This is horseshit, and makes absolutely no sense.

I find this tough to comprehend...
I have state farm....I was given an option to have a totally seperate policy from my wife, or to have a JOINT policy.
On a joint policy I could understand since you and your wife are one pool of risk together.
But it sounds as if they were not giving you the option to have a separate policy?
