See, that is what I am wondering about - if it will rub off or not (my boots are black, BTW). And if it will look like shit or look OK. I'd hate to f- it up and then be committed to a $200 powdercoat job, rather than just leave them the weird silver color.
The radiator guards and exhaust heat shield I am less concerned about since they aren't in contact with anything anyways.
