Not too hard.
Take off the seat.
Take off some bolts.
Take off the FE kit.
Loosen the tail pipe form the CAT.
Remove stock muffler.
Two screws hold the heat shield on.

Did not use heat restitant paint. The heat shield is plastic and the way it mounts it is protected from heat(LOL)

I used krylon interior-exterior. Dries in 12 minutes or less.
If it does not hold up, I'll get some other paint. It is pretty easy.

I think it will be fine. Iv'e had the bike up to running temp a few times and it is looking solid.
