I need to change my oil pan. Stripped the oil drain threads and cracked the pan when my cheapo torque wrench didn't trip.

So, any advice on removing/replacing the oil pan? I have the service manual and it looks pretty straightforward but you guys all have a LOT more experience with this type of stuff than I do so I thought I'd ask if there're any tricks or tips to make the job easier.

First thing I have to do is buy a proper torque wrench.
