Most of our motorcycles can jump 30mph in the blink of an eye, and I, for one, routinely use this ability when passing/evading to MINIMIZE the amount of time I'm near the clueless cell-phone junkies, which in turn MAXIMIZES my safety. I don't permanently blaze through traffic, but a temporary burst of speed is often required in the day to day reality of riding a motorcycle on the highway. It's a shame that basically law-abiding citizens could lose their ride, their job, and potentially their future for using what few attributes their vehicle has to keep them safe.

Maybe if this clown had spent the same amount of time in the saddle of a motorcycle as he did in the back seat of a police cruiser, he'd have a different opinion.

Glad I don't live in Florida. If I did... this would certainly motivate me to vote that shithead out of office.
