There is nothing illegal (that I know of) about rolling an odometer
forward, but you are treading on very thin ice posting about rolling one backwards.
Check your local laws about odometer fraud and tampering, and get back to me when you want this thread deleted.
I have an '04 1k and my left side switch gear looks nothing like that. Those grips aren't stock and the bar ends are missing... That left switch gear looks familiar, though. Maybe off a 600 or 750, or some other bike.
