We as humans are an exploratory group of beings. We want to feel things that we havn't before. We want to try new things. You had your chance and have now moved on. And good for you for doing that. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But should the next guy not be able to, if he so chooses, have a few fleeting seconds of riding 100 in a 70 just to see what it feels like, without the posability of a punishment that outweighs the crime? Sure the guy that rips around at 30, 40, or 50 over the limit all the time needs to or will loose his license and bike (if not his life)
It just sounds a bit overboard and unbalanced to me.

I dont justify it. I know going 10 over is wrong and I'm willing to accept the ticket if I get pulled. If they made the law in NC saying I can't go 30 over or I'll lose my vehicle then I would be scared to go 30 over. That's what its meant to do. Just like VA setting fines at $1000 or more. It's meant to scare people to do the speed limit. A little fine never scared me growing up so I recieved a bunch of tickets at a young age. If I would have been told that my car could be seized for the illegal street racing scene I would have never gone to the races. It would have scared me but fines didn't. Of course now that I'm older fines scare me lol.
