RIP... stunt accident costing life of biker...
On WFMZ69 news from Lehigh Valley: (sorry its news feed)
What started as a commemoration for a friend turned into a tragedy today in Montgomery County. One motorcyclist was hurt and another was killed after an accident in Limerick Township. Fior Hernandez has the story.
FAYE MOREAU: I was coming out of the funeral home and I saw smoke everywhere. FIOR HERNANDEZ: It started as a funeral for 23 year old Frederick Carfagno, a biker who lost his life in a motorcycle accident earlier this week in Chester County. But ironically just before noon this gathering resulted in the death of another biker. FAYE MOREAU: All of a sudden all the people were running all in the same direction and they said two of them were down. FIOR HERNANDEZ: Police say two motorcyclists began doing bike tricks in the parking lot of Catagnus Funeral Home in Limmerick Township Montgomery county. It appears these tricks were in memory of their friend and fallen biker, but the display in honor of their friend unexpectedly turned deadly. CHARLES PETIET: I say a guy doing a wheelies and then they collided cause they were really going fast.FIOR HERNANDEZ: 26 year old Joshua Morris of Pottstown was pronounced dead at the scene. Charles Cooper was the other driver involved, he was flown to Hahnemann Hospital and is expected to survive the deadly crash. Onlookers say the bikes were torn to pieces. CHARLES PETIET: I saw a bunch of pieces flying. FIOR HERNANDEZ: The Limmerick Police Department is investigating the incident.
I assume neither of these guys had helmets on... but you know what they say about assuming... I think its a damn shame that all this has happened... Theres a right place and time to do stunts and it isn't at the funeral home after your friends death, no matter how much you are commemorating him. Looks like these guys were in over their heads... nevertheless, RIP guys shame you had to go this way.
