It's really good to hear he is better off than originally thought. It's horrible to see anyone take an injury like that. As someone that was told I'd never walk again after my MX wreck in 2000, I felt for Everett on a personal level.
It was called a 'miracle' that I kept my leg, and even walk now, albeit with a bit of a limp.
I can only hope Everett is as lucky as I was to recover and live as normally as possible.
Watching that hit- it doesn't cease to amaze that it's nothing spectacular. Far worse hits result in the player getting up and walking away. But what looked like a minor hit can end a man's career, even cripple him.
Hope for the best with Everett- it'll take far more work to recover than it did to get into the NFL.
