Oh no not another learning experience . I hope you feel better soon. It sounds like your getting good care.

If it makes you feel better I dropped a Friends bike last weekend. I was up on the BRP in Virgina and my brother turned down a dirt road so we slowly tried to u-turn after convincing him it was not fun on street bikes. Well I almost had it turned around when I had this weird sensation as I put my left foot down. There was no ground. I had pulled up a driveway a few feet and it was inclined just enough so that the ground was further than normal so I just never really got any footing and as if in slow motion I just fell sideways and pretty much used my body to just set it on its side. As I fell in what seemed at the time slow motion I watched the expression on my friends face and it was priceless! Mostly because just about 1 hour before he walked out of a bar in Front Royal (just food and one great beer) and pushed the start button on a bike with no kick stand switch and that was still IN gear As the bike jumped forward I just watched him try and stop it from hitting the car parked next to us. He managed to save it from hitting the car but I had to help him lift it and in front of a small crowd of tourist we had to bend out the shifter and decide to continue even with a 1.5 inch long clutch lever. I laughed inside my helmet so hard after we left I almost had a stroke. Funnier thing was that he was staring at me with the same look I was now giving him as his bike I was riding fell over. Its the HELP ME DUDE ARE YOU RETARDED!! and then the realization that he is mounted on a bike and I'm the idiot. Good news for me is that I didn't do anything to it that was worse than it was before.

You'd think now we would just take it easy but...

You have to see what a Hawk 650 will top out at right? So let me tell you they get up to 95 or there about. I know because I passed him at about that speed on my way to god knows were when we realize we were on a road that turns to dirt (NOT AGAIN) in about 10 yards !!! I hit the dirt at or above 90 and had to dirt track it up a hill and prey there were now turns on the other side because my Bro passed me hauling ass and I was instantly in a blinding cloud of dust and couldn't see shit. I thought for sure I will see him and his bike rolling down the road in front of me so I hit the brakes and dirt track stopped a street bike. After the dust clear one by one we could see we all made it... Other than one hell of a bruise on the knees from having the bike swing out any whack my leg a few times I was fine.

Anyway, not all wrecks are as bad as yours so from one rider to another get well soon an hope your back to riding again soon. You'll be an even better rider. I know I learn all the time...
