Cheapo full face helmet I got for $100 new-Great, saved my life.
Regular T shirt covered by carhart vest with a regular non riding jacket over that-sucked.
Jeans-sucked.
Nike basketball type shoes-great, no damage.
Hands-ok, only got some minor cuts from hand going through mirror and/or window glass.
Going 35 mph at most when a guy turned in front of me in an 81 Chevy truck. I was on an 81 Yamaha 250 Exciter. Ended up shattering my left upper arm, tearing the whole right side of my pelvis off, breaking my femur in two very nicely, and dislocating my left wrist. Had some cuts and stuff to, but no broken ribs or bad back at all. Did have a bruised pancreas and some swelling in my abdomen though. Really glad I decided to wear a full face helmet to. I now have a better full face helmet, Joe Rocket jacket with protection in the right areas, Tecnic gloves with hard plastic over the knuckles etc., still need to get riding pants and real boots.
