The wire terminal I put a picture up on earlier is the type I was talking about...mine are actually smaller. Those will not stick out more than the black plastic does. The spade terminal is a little 'inside' and the top of the barrel of the quick disconnect would be flush or near flush with the black part.
I bought them so I can avoid modifying the plug on hte dual headlight mod (adding a wire into the terminal). if you need one for this mod, because of spacing, hit me up with a PM and send me a stamped envelope.

I haven't seen where you plan to mount it on my own actual bike so I'm unclear to the details involved but something could be put there if there's fear of the terminals getting damaged to insulate it...a slab of rubber, foam insulation, or even just some cardboard.

It pisses me off that the instructions want this thing mounted in a certain position...I work with compressors and electrical motors as my career...I have no fucking clue why it says so. Two reasons why I can think of:
1. horns are usually aimed at the ground for acquistic effects
2. so any wetness that can get caught up in the horn portion will drip out.

I'm most likely to mount this sideways and make it easy...maybe even in the right side in that plastic by the rear seat (dont know what its called...says FZ6 on it)
