Can someone get a bit more detail on taking it apart? I tried last night and not even some Heinekens could push away the feeling that I was going to break it.

the two wrap-around part of teh horn I can get, but that tab on the end...not sure which way to pry it without breakign it. any other tabs?

Those are called 'quick disconnect' terminals and they come with the barrel mounted 'sideways'. That should do it. I have some non-insulated that were a bitch to find but got a box of them now. To get an idea of what I'm talking about, look at the wire terminal on your headlight bulb.
