The problem is in a LOT of parts of Europe, where the speed limit is like 35mph on deserted country roads with HUGE amounts of visibility and nobody in sight for 30 miles.
The government ONLY puts the speed limits there to raise revenue, and it literally has nothing to do with traffic safety.
It's not a big deal in the US, and I hope it never GETS to be a problem. I'll start riots if it does.
I'm not one for excessive speed, and I do not drive recklessly... but i live in the middle of nowhere, and it's NICE to go 60, 65, or 70mph on the 55mph deserted country roads. It would take FOREVER to get anywhere if they had stupid speed limits.
