Question Rear brake reservoir....can I replace it?

I just got my Suzuki Bandit 400 a few days ago, and since its old (1991!) I decided to change the brake fluid and bleed the brakes. Right away, I managed to get myself into trouble! I couldnt unscrew one of the rear brake reservoir screws and ended up stripping the screw

I also tried one of those stripped screw removers....nothing!

So instead of wasting my time trying to get this damn screw out, can I just replace the entire reservoir with a round, plastic one, like this?

I mean, its just a reservoir to hold fluid, right? It doesnt have to be the stock Suzuki one, does it? The stock one is a black cast aluminum rectangular one.

So is it worth the hassle to mess with it? Or just get a plastic one?
