That's not a bad price, but...
They should put those last remaining D208 tires in a museum of failed ideas. Right next to New Coke. The 208s did more to harm Dunlop's reputation than anything else in history.
Not that they're aweful tires, just that they never delivered on the promise of being better than the 207s, or 204s for that matter. And they sullied the name of the famous D208GP-A/JBL tires. Some people still confuse the two.
Dunlop does make some great tires, just not 208s. The company created and developed the first commercially viable pneumatic tire, although the distiction for its invention and patent goes back to Robert William Thomson.
