A supercharger has its strong points and the main one is rideability. It will require the motor to lose some whp due to the fact that it must turn the supercharger by a belt and a supercharger will produce more heat than a turbo. What it loses in top end power to a turbo it gains in low end torque. There is instant power from idle and that is very streetable. When I do build my roadracer I will hands down pick a supercharger because the power delivery is more predictable and smoother. A supercharged bike will make more power and be more reliable than an all motor bike or nos bike of the same whp.
The worlds quickest and fastest bikes all use turbo's. To each their own.

I've always seen supercharger being faster in the 1/4 than a turbo. The reasoning was from the lag that comes from the turbo having to spool up taking too long and not making hp at the launch, and losing in the 60 ft times and never making it up. I've never seen a race of exact same motors with similar turbo/superchargers, etc, etc. But this is just what I've heard. Not that it matters.
