you can charge it with your car if you want to. just make sure you disconnect the positive and negitive from you bike before charging it. your car puts out between 135 and 185 amps and this may hurt you bikes electrical system. call if you have any questions, I can walk you through it. Also make sure you keep an eye on your cooling system if you are leaving the bike under a carport. temps have been below 20 degrees so just check for leaks on your radiator and hoses once it warms up. If you get a chance google motorcycle winterization and make sure you cover all your systems. there are some things that I had overlooked in the past such as cylinder lubrication etc,etc.
