also in my opinion going straight to a ducati is not a good idea. Ducatis are enthusiats bies (my dad has shit loads of them), and the 749 is definitely not a beginners bike. why dont you try something cheaper that you can get comfortable and confident on first. A ducati sports bike its a hell of alot different to a harley or a dirt bike....
