Hi all,

I'm hoping for some advice that might help me with a purchase decision. I'm looking at getting into the 1 litre Superbike thang & I have a line on a 2000 yellow Ducati 996 biposto with 13,000 miles that's in excellent condition except for needing a new rear tire. It's been fairly heavily tricked out: clutch cover & hydraulics mod, lots of carbon fibre bits, a chip, Remus exhaust, & a corbin seat. Never dropped. I can pick it up for $12K (cdn). My other option is a brand new 2005 (0 miles) Aprilia RSV1000R, for $16K (cdn). Any thoughts on whether it'd be worth laying out the extra $4K for the Aprilia?
