I have an FZ6 and sat on a 675 this week. I would say the ergos are comparable to early 2000's Japanese sport bikes (I owned a 2001 GSXR 750). I say that because I sat on the newer sport bikes at the Cycle World bike show this winter and those new sport bikes (R6 especially) have insanely aggressive ergos. I don't think the 675 ergos were AS aggressive as the new R6, but I still think it would be a big change from the FZ. Of course the ultimate test would be real world riding for me, at least 30 mins of freeway riding...

Sitting on the 675 reminded me of two things, 1) how much I miss having a pure sport bike and 2) why I bought the FZ6 in the first place: I commute more than I canyon carve!

Just for fun I sat up holding my arms/hands above the clip ons about 8 inches or so (to simulate higher bars) and I think it would be pretty comfortable. It would be really interesting to see if the convertibars would work for the 675.

I also like the idea of lowering the rear just a big as sososlow82 mentioned, that would also chill things out for your wrists and shoulders.

Also, the dealer here in the bay area is offering test rides. I didn't want to take them up on it because I'm not (yet?) going to buy the bike, but he did start it up for me and boy does that triple purr!
