Ok mate I'll have a go ..... ...

Handling : The 929 feels more 'neutral' and a little bit 'better balanced', the 900 (as it's got a 16 incher on the front) tips into corners quicker and just feels a bit more 'flickable' than the 929, especially on tight country roads. Having said that I prefer the 929 as it feels more stable on fast sweepers and generally just more 'neutral'.

Performance : Not a lot in it, both are stonkingly quick bikes. The 929 feels like it has more midrange, such as rolling on the throttle in top gear on a motorway (from 70ish to 120+ for example). Accelerating hard the 929 is again probably quicker, but without being a total nutter there's not a lot in it...both go berserk at around 7K revs.

The 900 is smoother though, especially at slow speed, and the 929 has a very tall 1st gear, which is a bit of a pain when you're trickling slowly through very heavy traffic, and it needs a bit more throttle than the 900 to get under way...I notice this most when I've been on the 900 (still got it) and get on the 929 and it sometimes bogs down a bit setting off, the gearing on both is standard.

Comfort I find the 900 more comfortable, the 929 is slimmer and the bars are slightly lower (I'm 6' 1" in my socks and about 13 stones). Also the 929 is physically a bit smaller. Both of mine have 'double bubble' screens and I get more wind blast on the 929 (therefore wetter when it's raining).

Overall I 'think' I prefer the 929, prefer the styling and the handling, but the 900 is a bit more comfortable. I'd like the 929 even more if the 1st gear was a bit shorter, also the 929 is a bit rougher when starting and at slow speed than the 900.

Hope this is of use ... and here's my two, the 900 is currently for sale.
