Don't waste your money on the DVD to CD writing software.
Buy a DVD burner ~ $40
Buy DVD-Rs (slightly more compatible with stand-alone players, Ritek is a good brand) ~$35 for 100 discs
Download DVD Decrypter (Free, hard to find, but you can get it still at
www.doom9.net)
Download DVD Shrink (Free)
Download Nero (not free, but you can get a trial or crack it)
Decrypt the dvd using dvd decrypter, this will copy it to a folder on your hard drive. Load up DVD shrink, point it to the folder on your hard drive, it will compress the video and you can then burn it to a DVD right from the program (if you have nero installed).
Very easy. Of course, I'd advise you only do this to make backups of DVDs you own, otherwise it's illegal
