OMG!!! They cost THAT much now!!! I paid a little over 4,500 for mine in 92 but I got it from a good friend that owned the local Honda dealer on Kauai. I actually got it made street legal when I was there and had a blast with it! When I brought it home to Hono and went to transfer the reg for it they said no can do. Kauai is really lax in stuff like that but Hono being a big city everything is on the computers and since it has the off road use only designation on it theres no way to have one on the road in Hono

I ended up selling it and buying a DR 350 Suzi (the off road version) putting the light kit I had from the CR on it and got it legal. It was easy since DR's were already in the system they just let me get it regged like a normal bike!

In the long run the DR was a better choice since I rode it to death put 40,000+ miles on it and never had a single problem, the CR would have went thru half a dozen pistons in that distance.... and mixing gas is a royal pain on a street bike. I know from experience with my RD400.
