Glad to hear new enough rocks. I am about to order 1200$ in gear (full leathers, boots, gloves)
Also, textile holds up against asphault like you would against a rhino. I've crashed, HARD, in my textile jacket. it was fully armored, so the armored parts of my body were ok, and the extra layer of clothing helped, but yeah. Hence why i'm moving up to leather. It's great for low speed stunts, and if you know how to fall, (6 years of martial arts tought me how to roll with the slide) you can save them for another day.
Bottom line, I didn't have money for leather, so I got that. It saved my ass. Now, I am getting leather. It's better than nothing (which my friends crash proved).
I can take some pictures if any are interested. OH, and a patch works great to sew up the holes left after a slide.
