Newbie to the site that is don't yell at me for buying a ZX6R I had a FZR600 a while back

I was happy to have recently found this site, what a wealth of info.

Anyway just purchased a '05 ZX6R.

yesterday I installed the Scorpio SR-i500-S

Today I was planning on adjusting the suspension.

I was trying to set the sag and could not for the life of me get the rear shock preload collar to budge.

What is the secret to this? I have the spanner tool but it just slips off when pressure is applied. I think I got it to move a little so it's not stuck or anything?
