I have a 2004 which is the same bike as the 05 i think. I really liked it put about 8,000 miles on it and never had a problem. Comfort really isn't a problem i take 3 or more hour long rides and don't have much pain at all. The highway speed thing i haven't had a problem with i ride at 70 or more with just one hand on the bars and its not problem. The one thing i really didn't like was the tires that came on it. Here in montana it doesn't stay hot enough long enought to heat up the roads a lot so the tires just never seemed to want to hook up all the way. If i was you I would try and find a new 2004 there might be some dealers with some still that will be cheaper than a 05. I don't think they changed anything for 05 on that bike.
