Default Will "Off Brand" Bike makers build/sell sportbikes in the U.S.

I'm just throwing this out for discussion and I would like to here from the
sportbike owners/crowd.
It seems in my area at least that "off brand" bikes and dealers are everywhere. Heck, even the local PEP BOYS has got in on the act !

Now,by "off brand" I mean the new wave of foreign bikes/quads such as
E-ton,Kymco,Kazuma,Redcat,etc. Where they are made THEY may be "The Brand".
Do you think these and or other companies will begin to produce larger, better, more powerful sportbikes for the North American and European markets? If so,I wonder what effects that would have on the sportbike scene?
Remember, not TOO long after the slogan "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" Honda caught the world on fire(and asleep) with the CB 750 and never looked back !
Without those little Honda stepthroughs(and the cash flow they generated)we may not have the wonderful and extremely capable sportbikes we have today.
